Iran says it is finalising an agreement with Oman on a safe shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran stressed that the talks are independent and have “nothing to do with the United States”, while warning that US and Israeli actions still threaten maritime security in the region.
Meanwhile, Israel has launched fresh airstrikes in southern Lebanon, accusing Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire. Lebanese officials say at least one person has been killed and 11 others injured. Earlier, two Israeli soldiers were reportedly killed in a blast inside a booby-trapped building in Majdal Selm.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces carried out large-scale raids in the Qalandiya refugee camp, detaining several Palestinians. Heavy gunfire and shelling were also reported across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip as tensions continue to rise across the region.
